Mounica Tata of @doodleodrama reveals where she prefers to have her coffee in her lockdown dairy.

I take the quote “wake up and smell the coffee” quite literally. The smell of freshly brewed coffee filling my house is what I wake up to everyday and it’s honestly one of the things I’m grateful for. It helps restore some normalcy in otherwise strange times we’re all living in right now.

My morning coffee is usually had at my work desk. And my evening coffee is on the couch with my husband or over a video call with my mum and sister. We’re a family of coffee lovers and we sync our evening coffee time!
I’m a freelancer and I’m used to working from home, been doing so for 4 years now. So honestly when the quarantine/lockdown was first introduced I wasn’t very worried. I was in fact worried for my husband and how he will cope with this change but the ground reality is that he’s doing pretty well. He’s super productive, he’s found a routine plus he does a big chunk of the household chores.

I on the other hand keep falling back in slumps of creative rut. I’m someone who works well under pressure and likes chasing deadlines but with this pandemic, a lot of projects are put on hold or canceled and the challenge now is to motivate myself on personal projects.
I see so much creativity online and it’s sometimes overwhelming.

I usually just jot down 5 things to do (my survival hack for lockdown) which generally include:
Finishing one project/part of project.
Cooking.
Reading a book.
Video call dates with friends/family.
Walk my dogs.
Watch a new series/catch up on ongoing series.
Play something with my partner.
Play the ukulele & sing.
If I manage to do any of the 5 things from this list in a day, I tick it off as a good day. I still take my weekends off. This helps me maintain a routine.
